I am here to provide solutions quickly how to memorize the sequence of wiring the two Straight and Cross. Before that, I will explain the usefulness Straight and Cross. Straight cable used to connect the NIC with a switch or NIC with the Hub, while Cross cable used to connect the NIC to NIC or Hub to Hub.
Here is a sequence of wiring Straight:
No. | Edge A | Edge B |
1. | White Orange | White Orange |
2. | Orange | Orange |
3. | White Green | White Green |
4. | Blue | Blue |
5. | White Blue | White Blue |
6. | Green | Green |
7. | White Chocolate | White Chocolate |
8. | Chocolate | Chocolate |
A quick way is to simply memorize the meaning given OBGC Orange, Blue, Green, Brown. But you must add it with white before OBGC in descending. Special blue color you must change it with green and white color is not blue and white.
As for Cross cable you simply change the order of 1 to move to 3, the order of 2 to move to 6 or in other words 1-3, 2-6 of a sequence of straight cables. For cable Cross Edge A and Edge Straight cable sequence B was changed so 1-3, 2-6.
Here is a sequence of wiring Cross:
No. | Edge A | Edge B |
1. | White Orange | White Green |
2. | Orange | Green |
3. | White Green | White Orange |
4. | Blue | Blue |
5. | White Blue | White Blue |
6. | Green | Orange |
7. | White Chocolate | White Chocolate |
8. | Chocolate | Chocolate |
